I talked about an everyday challenge in another post. This is just challenging yourself to do something every day that you want to get better at, get more practice with, be consistent with, want more of in your life, and actually want to do.
A part of that for me is writing a poem and drawing something every day as I get into this, and make it a part of my life. Sometimes, I'm going to share them. This is the poem I wrote and what I drew on July 2nd.
It's fun to do something every day that you love, want to learn more about, want to improve and get better at, really want more of in your life, and want to practice more actually showing up for yourself being consistent.
Make it a priority for yourself. Don't just throw something together hastily and sloppily either just to say that you did it. If you don't do this with your soul, heart, and intention, you're better off not doing it at all. It shouldn’t feel like a chore. It should be something that you are excited about and look forward to.
Make time for it if it's something that you really want, and see what it does for you.
Where Did it Go?
As flowers bloom in the spring,
The birds sing.
You see the green grass glistening from the rain.
When you look up at the blue sky, there goes a plane.
Do you wonder where the plane is going?
There’s so many places near and far as the plane flies through the sky while the sun is glowing.
Cities and countries are everywhere for people who live their lives going and going
Nonstop, and for what?
They need someone to yell, “Cut!”
Like they do in movies, so that people can finally slow down
And not drown
In their anxiety, depression, and misery.
All people feel is rushed, and all people hear is, “Hurry!”
Their minds are blurry.
Thoughts are racing nowhere but to the destruction of their health, bodies, and souls.
They are without goals.
So, they live their lives in total despair
Without care
Feeling like there’s nothing to cry for, nothing to feel for, nothing to dream for, nothing to live for.
They go through life just surviving and not thriving anymore.
What happened for them to get this way?
Is it because they feel like they don’t have a say?
Spring is the season where nature comes alive.
It’s the time when everything is bright, and when people should thrive.
But people lost their power instead.
Then, the next thing you know, summer arrives, and is no longer ahead.
Love,
Jessica
